Human beings enjoy making love. No matter which time, place or culture. And they do so despite the all efforts of priests and politicians to curtail their natural desires. Making love is the one behaviour which we all have in common. The other is making war. Only time will tell which will prevail. And yet Sex and Death are connected. This powerful painting brings together two of the great taboos in life. And notice that it is a woman who is the skeleton. One can only wonder at the statement this Muslim painter was trying to make.
